Mems-ID Pty Ltd is a privately-owned Australian company that is currently developing a new RFID technology called 'mems-ID'. The mems-ID technology promises enhanced technical capabilities together with lower cost tags, especially for applications in the healthcare industry. The Company is looking to offer a range of tags and readers for various healthcare applications. The mems-ID technology is based upon the use of Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, which has properties quite different to the conventional Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) based microelectronics RFID devices. This gives it some quite unique attributes, including:
