Movenda, previously named Virtex, was founded in 1999: in September of that year VirtualGate, the flagship product was created. VirtualGate is a suite of server-based software products for the managing mobile services, from the SMS to the WAP towards UMTS. The same year Virtex launched ‘wappi nose‘, the first Italian WAP search engine, strictly related to the WAP site Wappi.com. This one is an entertainment mobile portal directed to young customers, which currently has 250,000 subscribers.
