Netgrid transforms innovative ideas into smart products. It works in the development of cloud systems, IoT applications and smart devices employed in security and smart mobility. The company has concentrated its efforts on the new WOOLF product. WOOLF is the first wearable device able to warn motorcyclists well in advance of the presence of dangerous spots and road sections in which the speed must be carefully controlled. The device has been specifically conceived for motorcyclists, developed by exploiting the potential of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and updated road databases. A non-wearable car accessory leveraging on the same technologies is currently ready for launch into the bigger car market. Sensitive points database is continuously updated. WOOLF app is currently the first one using machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy of data for drivers. WOOLF has obtained a great success among customers already during its prototyping. It has registered over 750 private pre-orders for the first version, massive media coverage (awarded “accessory of the year” in 2016 by the prestigious motorbike magazine “Motociclismo”), buying requests from international distributors and tens of traders, between Europe, USA, South America and Australia. At the current standpoint WOOLF has already collected more than 200.000€ from different funding sources (including crowdfunding and private customers pre-orders).
