Northstar Electronics, Inc., through its wholly owned operating subsidiaries, Northstar Network Ltd. and Northstar Technical Inc., operates in the Defense, Aerospace, Homeland Security, and Commercial Marine Electronics markets. The company manufactures, under contract, aircraft parts, submarine command and control consoles, and navy frigate control consoles for its customers. It also developed sonar hardware for an anti-terrorism system designed to protect aircraft carriers and other naval ships. Northstar Electronics manufactures and sells a ruggedized sonar based system designed as both a conservation tool and an efficiency tool for large boat fishermen on the commercial side. The system is also used by federal agencies to establish quota limits. Northstar Electronics, Inc. is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
