A place for Marin high schoolers to hang out with friends, connect with inspiring role models and get ready for life.

Each day, they walk out into the world and find ourselves confronting opportunities and challenges, often with the vague sense that they are “making it up as they go along”. How do I make a tough decision? Why don’t I get along with some people? How can I achieve a key goal that seems impossible? They have learned how to solve math equations, but they haven’t learned how to deal with life. To thrive, they need to understand ourselves and how they relate to other people. Not in some New-Agey way, but based on the latest research in the study of personality, teamwork, motivation, communications, goal setting and more. Further, they need to gain insight into the institutions of modern society. Finance. The media. The healthcare system. A bit of advanced planning can avert credit problems and health snafus before they become a problem. At Oji, you’re encouraged to find a path - both at Oji and in life itself - that works for you. The “theme song” that holds it all together is their focus on Life Prep, the ideas and skills that will help you feel ready for life. Every Oji topic is worthy of a lifetime of study. Their goal is to help you take the first few steps, starting you down the road to further learning and helping you advance when you're ready.
