Hypoxia, defined as insufficient levels of oxygen in tissues, is known to trigger or impact a range of serious illnesses and conditions including many cancers, cardiovascular diseases, and trauma. At the center of Omniox’ work is a protein-based platform technology (H-NOX), that is engineered to reverse hypoxic disease states by delivering oxygen or nitric oxide preferentially to hypoxic tissues.
