OpenShift is an open hybrid cloud application platform by Red Hat.

OpenShift is an open hybrid cloud application. It adds developer and operational centric tools to enable application development, deployment, scaling, and long-term lifecycle maintenance for small and large teams and applications. It features the ability to write applications in Java, Ruby, Node.js, Python, PHP, and more. It gives access to a private database instance with full control and choose between classic relational and modern NoSQL data stores including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQLite. In addition to the built-in languages and services, developers can add other language, database, or middleware components that they need through the OpenShift cartridge API. OpenShift was founded in 2010.
