Prey is an Anti-Theft software for both personal and business use that allows users to track lost-stolen mobile devices and manage them.

Prey is a freemium Web service for tracking & managing laptops, smartphones, and mobile devices on a single online platform. Prey's hidden agent is installed on the device and it then contacts the user’s online panel, delivering location information, status, and access to actions. The application counts with a set of Anti-Theft features, plus device administration tools for Businesses. Some of Prey’s features are: Control Zones (monitoring through geofencing), Mass Actions (large-scale deployment of actions), File Retrieval & Data Wipe. Plus your ally in device recovery: the Missing Reports (periodic evidence on missing devices). Tracking involves a combination of networks, GPS, and Wi-Fi triangulation features for pin-point location. Prey and its services are owned and operated by Prey Inc., a software company with offices in Hong Kong, Chile, and San Francisco. The software features an open-source code and runs on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android and iOS. Much of its source code is published on GitHub and can be copied under the GNU General Public License. The server code and default Control Panel code are proprietary.
