We deliver database solutions which are cross-platform, small footprint database systemsdesigned for distributed architecture in resource-constrained environments.

These products today, are used worldwide in a wide range of data management solutions in industrial automation systems, military flight control systems, telecom routers & switches, financial trading systems, medical equipment, data backup solutions, consumer electronic devices and more. RDM Embedded and RDM Server have served over 20,000 application developers, resulting in over 20 million deployments.

Raima was founded in 1982 and pioneered embedded database research and development. The first version of dbVista was released in 1984 and quickly grew to serve customers like Hewlett Packard, IBM and NASA. As demand for embedded database functionality increased, a client-server version called Velocis was introduced in 1993. The products were later renamed Embedded (formerly dbVista) and RDM Server (formerly Velocis).

The original founders, Randy Merilatt and Wayne Warren are still with the company today.
