Raytheon ELCAN Optical Technologies provides precision optics and electro-optical subsystems for medical, defense and security, industrial, commercial, and entertainment customers. It offers vertically integrated manufacturing services, such as design and engineering, prototyping and concurrent engineering, diamond point turning, metal fabrication, optical systems fabrication, thin film coating, opto-electronic/opto-mechanical assembly, and testing and qualification. Later, Raytheon agreed to sell its unit that makes optical systems for aircraft and astronomical research to the B. F. Goodrich Company.
