RestUp is a mobile application, as well as website, that provides a marketplace of caregivers to families and businesses. The application provides a platform for trusted, convenient, affordable caregivers to connect to families and businesses, on demand. RestUp maintains $2 million in liability insurance, as well as encourges each caregiver to obtain his or her own liability insurance as well. The app and website provide a map of nearby caregivers available now to assist families with their loved ones. In the case of businesses, RestUp has streamlined its hiring process and can assist businesses with quickly find caregivers. A timely background check is done on each and every caregiver that accepts a care request. And a rating system is used, so that you can see what other families have said about the caregiver. Each caregiver's profile is integrated with that of his or her Facebook or LinkedIn profile. Additionally, an option to link to a video introduction is available. All payments are handled via the app, so neither party needs to worry about exchanging money or financial information. RestUp uses the secure payment processing service Stripe, with easy withdrawal from the user’s bank account. For ease in determining the final bill charged to the user, a timeclock is used. RestUp was conceived by its Founder, CEO, and Elder Law Attorney, Clifton A. Dennis, in November of 2015. When volunteering at an AARP event, Cliff wondered if there wasn't a more efficient and cost-effective way to connect caregivers and families. With many people becoming more familiar and comfortable with using technology, Cliff assembled a team to develop an app that would connect caregivers to those families who need assistance with their loved one. RestUp also respects the traditional home health agency model, by allowing agencies to create their own profiles and manage their caregivers via this platform.
