Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the Canadian police that provides law enforcement services to the three territories, eight of Canada's provinces which come to more than 190 municipalities, 184 aboriginal communities, and three international airports. It includes preventing and investigating crime; maintaining peace and order; enforcing laws; contributing to national security; ensuring the safety of state officials, visiting dignitaries and foreign missions; and providing vital operational support services to other police and law enforcement agencies. Royal Canadian Mounted Police was founded in December 1920.
