Scion Aviation, LLC is a reputable boutique aerospace manufacturing company with an exceptional record and long list of clients. Jim Sampson’s passion for flight, especially with helicopters, came at an early age while attending Oshkosh Airventure Airshows. He quickly earned his pilot’s license and developed into learning more about the intricacies of aircraft manufacturing. It wasn’t until he took lessons in an R22 helicopter in college that he realized its limitations in mobility. He had realized an untapped potential: to build a personal, high performance helicopter made of composite materials to keep it light while being incredibly strong. Since then Scion Aviation has grown to provide services in aircraft design, advanced composite parts, prototype aircraft, and tooling.
