The network enables all gaming characters and guilds to stay in one place, and offers scheduling and search tools to find, connect, and schedule games with old friends. Users can also anonymously message friends on the network using their smartphones. ZergID was launched by Scott Katz and Alex Albrecht in October 2012 and is based in Los Angeles, California.
