Precision M40

Dell introduced its first mobile workstation, the Dell Precision M40, in November of last year. Several workstation-class applications were quickly certified to run on the M40, and buyers were afforded workstation-specific support. But with its Mobile Intel Pentium III Processor-M (with a 133-MHz bus) and nVidia Quadro2 graphics chip set, the system didn't have quite the hardware needed to rival a desktop workstation.
