Bio/Description

Kelly started working with computing equipment in the 1940s. He was one of the driving forces behind the University of Toronto's being a leader in computing in North America. He has been a leader in the CIPS and ACM organizations since their founding. Although now in his 90s he is still active. His early book (1958) (with Pat Hume) "High Speed Data Processing" has resulted in eleven (I think) words being entered in the OED.
