IAMTN is an international trade organization that represents money transfer industry and payment institutions providing cross border payments worldwide. It works closely with governments, regulators, regional associations, payments stakeholders, and individuals to create a better payment system. IAMTN is a member of the Action Group on Cross Border Remittances set up by the U.K. government. It works with government agencies, financial regulators, and anti-money laundering bodies to assure that the money transfers legislation reflects the realities of the modern world and provides efficient and affordable remittance services to customers. IAMTN was founded in 2005 by Veronica Studsgaard and George Piskov.
