Within private equity it specializes in investments in consumer-oriented companies as well as simple and niche manufacturing, industrial-based products, nanotechnology/nanomaterial, business services, logistics, technology, services, and supply chain management. The firm does not seek to invest in apparel and retail. It makes investments through a variety of transaction types, including growth capital, strategic industry roll-ups, corporate divestures of subsidiaries, divisions or product lines, management buy-outs, turnarounds, restructurings and recapitalizations, family businesses, and full and partial liquidity for entrepreneurs, or passive investors. The firm also invests in financially distressed, underperforming, disruptive technology private companies and public subsidiaries in small to lower middle market companies.
