Company Description
The Melody Book is a software development company that designs and develops music education applications.
The Melody Book is a software development company based in New York City founded by a wife (software developer) and husband (professional music educator) team who combine their respective skills to help people enjoy music and technology. With a mission to enhance the mobile user experience for professional and amateur musicians, The Melody Book is working to develop and release high quality and intuitive apps. The recent app launch (for iOS products) is called A Jazzy Day which is an interactive educational story and game that introduces young children to Jazz music and its various instruments. It features original music and sounds played by live acoustic instruments of professional Jazz musicians in New York City. The story is about two cute kittens and their father as they visit the Jazz Big Band and explore the sounds of each instrument. Children can enjoy the vivid illustrations and fun animations as they learn about music instruments and jazz music. You'll even get to hear a full jazz Big Band arrangement. Once your child learns about the different instruments, you can test their aural and visual knowledge in a fun way with our interactive 'play game' feature. A Jazzy Day—Swinging with the Big Band is the winner of the Children’s Technology Review Editor’s Choice Award for Excellence in Design! On the iTunes app store, A Jazzy Day was featured in the “New and Noteworthy” and “Staff Favorites” Education section and was recently ranked in the top 30 selling iPad paid books in the US iTunes store.
