Company Description

Call of the Brave to help people affected by unfair fashion in a way that doesn't cost the earth.

Call of the Brave is a new start-up company. They want to go about their business as ethically as possible. They can only achieve this by being transparent about how they operate and by continuously striving to improve. Call of the Brave is an individual tee-shirt design crowdfunding platform. Anyone can upload a design, and, if a minimum number of pre-orders are taken before the campaign end-date, they print the tees on ethically produced tee shirts and send them out to people that have ordered them. Their story started with Dave, until recently just a regular t-shirt wearing web designer with a general feeling that they should think more about how they consume and where things come from. Then came news of the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, which killed 1,134 people as they worked in appalling conditions to produce garments for high street labels like Primark, Matalan and Mango. Dave's heart went out to those who suffered and his head got thinking about the system that allows people to be exploited just to save a few pence at the till. Dave decided to put together his love of t-shirts, web design and sustainable fashion to found Call of the Brave. Their mission (everyone needs a mission) is to change the fashion industry - one t-shirt at a time. They say goodbye to mass produced designs and sweatshop labour, hello to unique artwork on ethically produced, high quality garments.
