Around this core of freely-hosted content, our portal provides an infrastructure of productivity tools and services to facilitate a collaborative effort among a worldwide community of developers, who come to OpenAvenue looking for project participation and knowledge sharing. 'Open Source' describes software that is developed by a community of programmers using freely distributed, nonproprietary source code. Open source promotes software reliability and quality by supporting independent peer review and rapid evolution of source code.
